Dripping Faucets and Clogged Drains Have Met Their Match!

You’ve just finished cooking a fabulous meal for your family, and now it’s time to wash the dishes. Much to your dismay, though, you find your sink backed up with foul-smelling water. You try the garbage disposal, only to be met with a shrill sound of protest.

If you’re living this upsetting scenario, don’t stress; call Grasshopper Heating & Cooling or kitchen plumbing services. We’ll show your clogged drains, busted garbage disposal, or broken dishwasher who’s the boss.

We also offer kitchen renovation services if you’d like to make an upgrade. Reach us at (518) 545-3271 to get a quote now.

    Clogged Drain Repair

Clogged kitchen drains are the plague of homeowners everywhere. Not only are they a nuisance, but they can also smell downright terrible. Nothing will have your family running for the hills like a gunked-up kitchen sink or dishwasher.

If you’ve tried plunging but that clog won’t budge, give our plumbers a call. We know how to send clogs packing without hurting your delicate pipes and water supply.

    Kitchen Sink and Faucet Repair

It’s tough to cook or do dishes if your kitchen sink isn’t working. If you’re not getting any water out of your sink, you could have a serious clog gumming up your pipes.

If you’re not getting hot water, your water heater could be on the fritz. We’ll have it patched up in no time.

    Dishwasher Repair

It’s tough to imagine going without a dishwasher, especially if you’ve got a large and ravenous family.

Call us for dishwasher repair if:

    • Your dishwasher won’t turn on or off
    • Your dishwasher’s control panel won’t respond to button presses
    • Your dishwasher’s heating element has gone out
    • Your dishwasher makes unsettling grinding noises
    • Your dishwasher won’t drain even after cleaning the filter
    • Your dishwasher is leaking

    Garbage Disposal Repair

Garbage disposals do a lot of heavy lifting in your kitchen, but they’re not all-powerful. Even the most upscale models can’t handle pasta, onion peels, wet coffee grounds, or grease.

You may be able to get away with dumping such waste down the disposal a few times, but keep it up, and your disposal will probably go on strike. At this point, not even most chemical drain cleaners can make a dent in the clog.

Never fear, though, because Grasshopper Heating & Cooling is here. We’ll wipe out the clog and get your disposal moving again. Give us a call at 518-545-3271 for professional garbage disposal repair services.

    Kitchen Installations

If you’re a home chef, why not reward yourself with some new kitchen appliances and fixtures? Kitchen upgrades can add serious value to your home, too. Buyers are often willing to pay more for a kitchen that’s been recently upgraded.

Our pros can install fridges, dishwashers, garbage disposals, and kitchen sinks. We can also install a water purifier to remove nasty bacteria and bad flavors from your home’s water.

    FAQs

Are kitchen pipes connected to bathroom pipes?

Kitchen pipes aren’t directly connected to bathroom pipes, but both meet up at the main sewer line for your house. This line carries every drop of water and waste from your home to the city sewer system. If your sewer line’s busted, you may notice plumbing problems all throughout the house.

How do you unclog a kitchen drain pipe?

The humble plunger does a pretty good job at unclogging drains. If that fails, try hot water mixed with baking soda, which boasts fizzy, clog-dissolving action. Augers and snakes can reach clogs deep inside drain pipes as well. Whatever you do, please don’t resort to chemical drain cleaners. Many don’t work and can wreak serious havoc on your pipes.

What should you not put down the garbage disposal?

Don’t put grease, coffee grounds, onion or potato peels, or any fibrous foods (such as rice or pasta) down your garbage disposal. If you do, the whirring blades of your disposal will turn your scraps into a thick paste that’s similar to glue. This paste can cause the blades to stick and seriously clog up your sink.

How do you clean a P trap without removing it?

Try a mixture of hot water, baking soda, and vinegar to clean your P trap. The fizzy action is sometimes enough to break up clogs. If that fails to do the trick, and you’d rather not open your P trap yourself, call us for kitchen plumbing services.
